Meet Jen Hockings
Psychologist & Clinical Registrar
Jen is a Psychologist and Clinical Registrar with a unique combination of lived frontline experience and specialist training in trauma-informed care. Before moving into psychology, she served as a detective for 20 years — an experience that shaped her understanding of high-pressure environments, complex emotional experiences, and the challenges faced by both first responders and the wider community.
Her work is grounded in respect, authenticity and evidence-based practice. Jen offers a calm, confidential space where clients can feel supported and understood.
Her approach is down-to-earth and collaborative, focusing on practical tools that help clients build resilience, navigate difficulties and enhance overall wellbeing — in their personal lives, relationships and work.

Meet Bonnie
Therapy Dog in Training
Bonnie is Jen’s two-year-old standard poodle and a therapy-dog-in-training. She supports clients by providing comfort, grounding and gentle pressure techniques (similar to a weighted blanket). Many clients find her presence soothing and regulating during sessions.
Bonnie also has a dedicated resting space outside the therapy room for patients who prefer not to have a dog present. Your comfort always comes first.
